Cookie Policy

Short version: 0xprogramming.com sets no cookies at all. It uses exactly one browser local-storage key, listed below, and nothing on the site is loaded from a third-party server.

1. What we store

This key is strictly necessary for the function you asked for (not seeing the notice again) and stores no identifier — only a timestamp. Under the ePrivacy Directive and § 103¹ of the Estonian Electronic Communications Act, storage of this kind requires disclosure but not prior consent, which is why you see a notice rather than a consent wall.

2. What we do not use

• No Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Matomo or any other analytics script.
• No advertising or conversion pixels — no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Microsoft UET tag.
• No social-media embeds, no chat widgets, no A/B testing tools, no session recording.
• No third-party fonts or CDN scripts: fonts and all assets are served from our own domain, so no request leaves it while you browse.

If we ever add measurement, we will ask for consent first through a proper opt-in banner, and this page will list every key before the tool goes live — not after.

3. Server-side logging

Independently of browser storage, our API keeps a short technical log of requests for security and debugging: endpoint, method, status code, timestamp, user agent and a salted hash of the IP address. That log is not a cookie, cannot be opted out of without also refusing to use the site, is kept for 90 days and is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Removing the stored key

Clear site data for 0xprogramming.com in your browser settings, or use your browser’s developer tools: Application → Local Storage → delete 0xp.notice.storage. Nothing on the site breaks if you do — the notice simply appears again.
